Conference & Trade Exhibition

APP is The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s annual national conference and the largest pharmacy conference and trade show in Australia. APP offers attendees a comprehensive four-day educational program, exciting social activities and a trade exhibition showcasing the latest products, services and industry information.

The conference and trade exhibition will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC).

Conference sessions and the trade exhibition are held from Thursday 3 May until Sunday 6 May 2018. Please note the date change to May in 2018 is a one off occurrence due to the Commonwealth Games.  APP2019 will once again be held in March.

Admission to conference sessions is restricted to professional persons working within the pharmacy industry. If you wish to bring a guest or your family (including children) to view the trade exhibition they will need to be admitted as a visitor and will be required to wear a visitor name badge, which can be collected from the Registration Desk onsite.
Yes, extra tickets to both the Welcome Reception and the APP Street Party can be purchased online with your registration. Additional Welcome Reception tickets can be purchased for $85 each and additional Street Party tickets for $110 each (the Street Party ticket price has been reduced to make it more affordable for partners and guests to attend with delegates).
Yes. Most conference sessions will be eligible for CPD points. A CPD Accreditation & Credits Summary will be provided prior to the conference which will outline how many credits have been allocated to each session.

If you wish to record your CPD credits using myCPD, you can register for a myCPD account at www.mycpd.org.au.

The CPE Allowance provides financial support to assist pharmacists from rural and remote areas to access CPD and Professional Development activities. Click here for more information and find out if you are eligible.

The Rural Intern Training Allowance (RITA) provides financial support to assist intern pharmacists from rural and remote areas to attend compulsory intern training program activities. Click here for more information and find out if you are eligible.

Registration

Yes, onsite registrations will be accepted, but these will attract a $50 late fee.
A confirmation of registration and tax invoice will be issued to your email address on submission of registration. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folders and check that the email address you provided when registering is correct. If a confirmation has not been received please contact the Events Division of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland Branch on 07 3831 3788 or email events@qldguild.org.au.

This depends on individual circumstances. Please contact your tax professional to discuss this.
No, your name badge and function tickets will be available for collection from the Registration Desk onsite on arrival at the conference.
All cancellations and requests for registration refunds must be made in writing to events@qldguild.org.au.

  1. Cancellations made before 1 April 2018 will receive a refund less a $100.00 per person administration fee.
  2. Refunds will NOT be processed for cancellations after 1 April 2018, however substitute delegates will be accepted as long as we are notified by email by Friday 27 April 2018.
  3. No refunds will be issued until after the conference.
  4. No refunds will be given for non-attendance at the conference.
  5. Accommodation and airline cancellations are at the discretion of the individual organisations concerned.

Accommodation & Travel

Yes. Special hotel rates are available for visitors and exhibitors. Please visit our Accommodation page for more information.
Most hotels listed on this website are within walking distance to the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre. A shuttle service from all accommodation venues will be offered to and from the APP Street Party on Saturday 5 May 2018 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm and then from 10:00pm – 12:30am.
Car parking is available for delegates at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre at a cost of $10.00 per day. The entrance to the car park is off the Gold Coast Highway.

General

No. If you require babysitting services please arrange this with your hotel concierge.
A small cloakroom is available onsite. If possible we recommend that you leave any luggage with your hotel concierge.
Yes, there is free wi-fi available throughout the centre.
