Attending APP2025 for the first time?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! From navigating the busy schedule to making the most of networking opportunities, here are some top tips to help you get the most out of your APP2025 experience without feeling overwhelmed.

1. Get organised early

With so much going on at APP2025, we understand that you might not know where to start. Don’t worry, the key to making the most of the conference is to plan. Check out the program and pick out the sessions, workshops, and speakers you want to attend. The program is split into different streams, including ‘business, innovation and leadership’ and ‘clinical pharmacy/product updates’, so you can more easily pick and choose what you want to learn about and how you want to upskill. If there’s a topic that you’re particularly passionate about, make sure it’s at the top of your list.

2. Register for the pre-conference workshops

One of the best ways to start your APP2025 experience is by attending one or more of the pre-conference workshops. These hands-on sessions give you the chance to dive deeper into important areas of the pharmacy industry, from refreshing clinical skills like immunisations, to business ownership tips and tricks. They’re also a fantastic way to get warmed up ahead of conference sessions, as well to earn extra CPD credit. Plus, they’re often more intimate, so you can ask questions and really engage with the material in a hands-on environment.

3. Network, network, network!

This is your chance to meet and connect with like-minded professionals from across the industry and all over the world. Don’t be shy! Whether you’re at a workshop, wandering through the exhibition, or at one of the social events, introduce yourself and make connections.  Be sure to download the conference mobile app (available mid-March 2025) so that you can easily exchange contact information with your new connections. You can even include your LinkedIn profile to your app so you can easily connect after the conference.

4. Check out the exhibition hall

With over 450 trade stands showcasing cutting-edge products and services, the trade exhibition is an absolute must. Give yourself plenty of time to explore, and don’t be afraid to ask exhibitors questions. This is your chance to discover new tools and technologies that could make a real difference to your pharmacy.

5. Enjoy the social events

Yes, APP2025 is about learning and professional development, but it’s also about having fun! The social events are a great way to meet people in a more relaxed setting. Whether it’s at a networking lunch, the Welcome Reception, or ever-popular Street Party, make sure to join in and register ahead of time (note: some events, like the Street Party, require the purchase of additional tickets) – you never know who you’ll meet or what connections you’ll make.
