Change without fear
Friday AM
Sigma is brining Marty Wilson, third generation pharmacist with ties to many other health professionals in his life, to APP2025. Marty will discuss all things resilience. With all the rapid changes happening in the pharmacy world, we should all be focussing on how we can ensure resilience stays an important part of our day-to-day operations.
Full Scope of Practice for pharmacists 2025
Saturday AM
We are very lucky within my pharmacy to be practising to our full scope regularly, but for some people this is still a foreign concept. The Pharmacy Guild of Australia is bringing a panel of amazing health professionals to APP2025 to talk about Scope of Practice and what better way to grow your understanding of what it entails than listening to a panel of greatly educated people.
Pharmacist working to Full Scope in acute minor wound care: Accreditation, implementation and practical considerations
Saturday AM
Demi Pressley, the first prescribing pharmacist in Australia will join the APP2025 line up, thanks to Smith+Nephew, to discuss wound care management. We see wound care every day on the shop floor in varying degrees of severity. As pharmacy assistants, this is a great opportunity to fill knowledge gaps and ensure you can provide the best possible care to patients before (if required) referring them to our pharmacists.
Inspiring lifesaving communities: Greg Page’s story
Saturday AM
Possible my favourite of the lot… Greg Page is a name known to most Aussie households. He was the yellow wiggle for a lot of our and/or our kid’s childhoods. You may have heard over the years of his health scares and how he continues to advocate for nationwide awareness of CPR and AEDs. If you want to be inspired, this is the perfect opportunity while also feeling a little nostalgia.
