Daniel James holds a PhD in Food and Nutritional Sciences, specialising in the bidirectional relationships between the gut microbiome, immune function, and gut barrier integrity. He began his career in a technical role at a UK-based probiotic brand, where he designed and coordinated clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy of finished products. He has since transitioned into the commercial side of the probiotic industry, leveraging his scientific expertise and hands-on experience with consumer brands to support companies across Australia and New Zealand in developing high-quality probiotic solutions tailored to their customers’ needs. Daniel is currently the Business Development Lead at IFF Health Sciences.
