In her role as Pharmacist Implementation & Change Specialist for TerryWhite Chemmart, Kate Gunthorpe leads the development and implementation of Full Scope of Practice and prescribing services. Kate provides hands-on practical support and guidance at the pharmacy level and guides the refinement of the best practice clinical and customer experience, support tools and processes. Kate is increasingly sought after as a thought-leader in various aspects of community pharmacy practice and in particular, scope of practice, prescribing and public health. Most importantly, Kate is one of Australia’s first, fully qualified pharmacist prescribers, having completed her own training through Cohort 1 of the Pilot and further, is an Adjunct Lecturer and Examiner at James Cook University, teaching and mentoring pharmacist learners on their journey to full scope.
