Professor Dr Geoff Sussman OAM

Professor Dr Geoff Sussman holds a position in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University and is the Adjunct Professor of Wound Care at Austin Hospital. Geoff has been involved in clinical research and teaching in wound management for over 40 years. He was Chairman of Wounds Australia, is an executive board member of The International Wound Infection Institute, and in 2006, was awarded an OAM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for his work in wound care. Geoff has also been involved sport for many years and was president of Gymnastics Victoria for 20 years, Chairman of Australian Diving Association for 10 years, and was elite team manager of the Australian diving team, taking them to the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. Geoff has wide experience in pharmacology and drugs in sport and was a member of the doping Advisory Control Panel for Swimming Australia. He was a delegate to the Victorian Olympic council and the Victorian Commonwealth Games Association and served for four years as an executive board member of the Victorian Olympic Council.
