Rural and Indigenous Chair, Canberra Student Pharmacy Association (CaSPA)
Summah Holden
Summah Holden is a proud Dunghutti woman from the Mid North coast of NSW who started her journey with community pharmacy initially in 2014 on a school-based Traineeship with TAFE (Certificate II in Community Pharmacy/Retail). After working in pharmacy for two years, Summah grew a passion for the role and went on to study a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Canberra; she is currently in her second year of studies. Summah is a strong role model for her community and hopes that her journey will inspire and connect other Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to take on higher education and careers in primary healthcare, including pharmacy. Summah is the Rural and Indigenous Chair of Canberra Student Pharmacy Association (CaSPA), is Vice-President of the Canberra Rural Allied Health and Nursing Collective (CRANC), and committee team member for NAPSA’s newly formed Indigenous Committee. Summah looks forward to becoming a fully qualified community pharmacist and working to the benefit of rural communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
