With nearly 30 years of experience in community pharmacy spanning roles with wholesalers, pharmacy brands, and now the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Monique (Mon) Mackrill has witnessed firsthand the major reforms that have shaped the profession. Her career has navigated significant industry milestones, including PBS reforms such as price disclosure, the introduction of 60‑day dispensing, and the impacts of the COVID‑19 pandemic. Mon believes that these changes have paved the way for pharmacists to practise to their full scope and believes these advancements highlight the vital role community pharmacy plays in supporting the health of Australians. She is passionate about the continued growth of the profession and is excited to see more pharmacists undertaking full scope training and implementing new service delivery models that enhance patient care.
