This two-part workshop will include a 90-minute refresher on the administration of a number of specific injectable medicines and an update on Full Scope of Practice.
Session 1: Injectable Medicines Administered by Pharmacists Refresher (12.30pm – 2.00pm)

The Prescribing Hormonal Contraceptives training program is designed to give pharmacists in Queensland the knowledge, skills, and confidence to initiate and prescribe hormonal contraception for eligible women, under the QLD Hormonal Contraception Pilot.
This training package is delivered in a blended format consisting of a two-hour online pre-learning module accompanied by a 3-hour interactive workshop, followed by an online objective structured clinical examination.
The College is excited to offer the workshop component in person, as part of their pre-conference program.
The workshop incorporates scenario-based learning with both peer-to-peer and peer-to-expert discourse.
Pharmacists currently enrolled in the College’s Prescribing Hormonal Contraceptives course can register to attend this face-to-face workshop to complete the workshop component of the training program.
