Funding grants/allowances

Pharmacists and students seeking support to attend professional development events such as APP may be eligible for a range of funding grants and allowances. See below for some options currently available for application.

For Rural Pharmacists

Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP)

This program offers scholarships and bursaries to health professionals in rural and remote areas to support further education and training. Eligible pharmacists may apply for funding to attend conferences that contribute to their professional development. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Allowance

Administered by the Pharmacy Programs Administrator, this allowance supports rural pharmacists undertaking approved professional education activities. For First Nations Pharmacists

IAHA Graduate Member Professional Development Scholarships

For Pharmacy Students

PDL Student Grant Program

The Pharmaceutical Defence Limited (PDL) offers grants to pharmacy students to support attendance at professional events. Visit https://pdl.org.au/pdl-student-grant-program/ for eligibility and application details.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia does not assist with the application process, however proof of attendance following the conference can be provided.
