Deborah Hawthorne BPharm, FPS CredPharm (MMR), CDE is a consultant pharmacist and credentialled diabetes educator dedicated to improving medication safety and chronic disease management in rural communities. She provides Home Medicines Reviews, Residential Medication Management Reviews, and diabetes education through North-East Health Wangaratta, alongside collaborative practice across general practice, aged care, and allied health. Deborah serves as Chair of the PSA Consultant Pharmacists Community of Specialty Interest and Board Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Victoria and the Pharmacists’ Support Service. She is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the University of Western Australia, contributing to research and professional education. Recognised nationally as the Inaugural PSA MIMS Consultant Pharmacist of the Year (2023) and PSA Early Career Pharmacist of the Year (2022), Deborah is a passionate advocate for equitable access to pharmacist-led care in regional Australia.
