Fiona Patten

Fiona Patten was a member of the Victorian parliament from 2014 to 2022, during which time she initiated and delivered a Medically Supervised Injection Centre, Voluntary Assisted Dying laws, abortion law reform, the decriminalisation of sex work, and drug law reform. Before entering politics, Fiona was the CEO of Australia’s national adult industry association, Eros Associatio, where she championed sexual rights and health movements for more than 20 years, particularly on HIV/AIDS. Since leaving parliament, Fiona has continued to work on social reform issues including medicinal cannabis, drug harm reduction for tobacco, criminal justice reform and greater separation of church and state. In 2018, she published her autobiography ‘Sex, Drugs and the Electoral Roll’. Fiona is now the owner of a registered wildlife sanctuary.
