APP is excited to announce Walter Mikac AM will present the 2026 Alan Russell Oration!

Walter Mikac AM is an experienced pharmacist whose life changed forever following the tragic loss of his wife and two daughters in the Port Arthur massacre. In the years since, he has become a speaker, author, advocate for positive change, and founder of The Alannah & Madeleine Foundation, a national Australian charity dedicated to keeping children and young people safe from violence and trauma. Through his work, Walter encourages others to find strength, meaning, and motivation in even the most difficult circumstances.

Sponsored by PDL, his speech ‘Resilience for life: turning tragedy into purpose’ will offer a renewed perspective on life’s challenges.
